Play Valley is the largest indoor play centre in South Yorkshire, ideally located in the popular Manvers suburb of Wath-Upon-Dearne just off the A633 in the heart of the Dearne Valley.
We were tasked to create a name and brand identity for a brand new indoor play centre within Dearne Valley. The design needed to be fun and appealing to a young audience, whilst clearly communicating the location of the centre.
Creating a unique character is a great way to add personality to your branding and embody your key business strengths.
We created The Play Valley logo to comprise of two elements, a pictorial scene which references the centre's location Dearne Valley and a fun, playful logo type. We also created a range of illustrated assets to be used throughout the branding, including the "Play Valley Twins" - Joey and Jessie! This meant the brand could be employed creatively and imaginatively to keep the attention of their younger audience.
After developing the brand identity, we helped Play Valley to captivate its key audience by implementing it throughout their marketing materials: wayfinding and signage throughout the play centre; a brochure website with image gallery and links to a party booking system; setup and management of social media profiles with the creation and posting of engaging content; and promotional materials including menus, stickers and membership cards. Now they have an eye-catching brand and through the success of this have been able to open a secondary site.
After meeting David for an initial meeting we appointed Moirae - his passion gave us the confidence that he could help. David and his team have been innovative from the start.
Very quickly they got what we needed and the designs were exactly what we were looking for. We have loved the colours, characters and shapes which have been developed for Play Valley.
