Cast, Doncaster’s theatre, opened in 2013 and welcomes audiences and participants of all ages from across the borough of Doncaster and beyond. Cast's programme is eclectic, imaginative and takes risks.
As Cast's creative partners, we were tasked with redesigning their website. The new site primarily needed to drive ticket sales for all CAST's events and a have simple, secure checkout system. We also needed to make sure that Cast could easily add new shows and events to their site themselves without requiring further development work, and that the site worked seamlessly across both desktop and mobile devices.
Umbraco is an extremely scalable content management system that allows your website to grow with you.
We worked closely with key stakeholders at CAST to ensure we really nailed the brief and began the project by creating inventive initial concepts. After selecting an initial direction CAST gave us creative freedom to design the rest of the website. We used Umbraco as our CMS of choice and integrated a booking and payment system, which meant that the team at Cast could easily update the website with new events and shows. We made sure the website would convert by strategically placing call to actions throughout the site, to optimise the user journey.
The new website has been very well received by the team and CAST and by members of the public, we have continued to work with Cast to improve the site and direct more traffic to specific events using Google and Display Ads. We love to help CAST raise donations, fill more seats and sell-out shows!
