The World Steel Association (worldsteel) is one of the largest and most dynamic industry associations in the world. worldsteel members represent approximately 85% of the world's steel production, including over 120 steel producers globally.
The Steelie Awards recognise member companies or individuals for their contribution to the steel industry over a one-year period in a series of categories impacting the steel industry. The Steelies are awarded at worldsteel’s annual conference on 16th October in Brussels.
British Steel have been shortlisted in the category ‘Steel Industry Website of the Year’. The award recognises steel industry websites that demonstrate ‘Communications Excellence’ based on 5 key criteria: overall design, loading and page delivery, information range and relevance, navigation ease, and use of new technologies. The selection is made through review of all membership sites by a worldsteel expert panel.

We’ve had some challenging and exciting times – working with our new brand and launching our site was extremely rewarding. And, alongside our agency Moirae Creative Agency, we’re continuing to develop the site further and are planning to introduce new functionality to support our growing global customer base.”

The announcement adds to an already action-packed awards month for us after being shotlisted for 7 international accolades at the Digital Impact Awards 2017. Not forgetting our local roots, we have also been shortlisted for 3 awards at the Doncaster Business Awards which will take place at the Doncaster Racecourse in December this year.
