Minimalism
The minimalistic trend has been around for the last few years and its popularity only seems to be growing. This design trend is normally associated with luxury or modern business and is typically characterised by omitting unnecessary design elements, resulting in a simple but powerful design.
Colour Transitions
This trend has started to make a powerful comeback from the days of rainbow word art and PowerPoint backgrounds. The reappearance of this movement can be accredited to the introduction of gradients in Apple’s IOS but most obviously by the gradient driven logo in 2016 by the social media giant Instagram.
Asymmetric
Asymmetrical design can be one of the most impactful layouts you can use. In previous years, a website or printed advertisement almost had a predictable layout. However, in 2019 we are going to see a lot more scattered grid style layouts where information is not usually where you would expect it.
Hand Drawn
Over the last few years, we have seen great technological improvements to the humble stylus and digital pens, which can be easily used on a touchscreen laptop or graphics tablet. These technologies allow for traditional and digital methods of drawing to be combined perfectly to often create timeless pieces of design.
